Itinerary
Day 1 - Marrakech → Tizi n'Tichka → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Gorges
Departure from Marrakech toward Ouarzazate, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka Pass with panoramic photo stops. Visit Aït Ben Haddou (UNESCO), famous for its history and as a filming location for many international movies. Continue to Ouarzazate to see Kasbah Taourirt, then drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs through Skoura and the Valley of Roses. Arrival to the Dades Gorges for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 - Dades Valley → Todra Gorges → Erfoud → Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)
After breakfast, continue through the Dades Valley and visit the impressive Todra Gorges, a spectacular canyon reaching up to 300 meters. Travel toward Merzouga, passing the Jorf palm grove, known for its dates, and stop near Erfoud, famous for fossils. Arrive in Merzouga and switch to camels (or 4×4) for a 1-hour ride into the dunes to watch a magical sunset. Arrival at the desert camp for dinner, Berber hospitality, and traditional music around the fire. Overnight in the Sahara.
Day 3 - Merzouga → Draa Valley → Ouarzazate → Marrakech
Wake up early to watch an unforgettable sunrise over the dunes, then enjoy breakfast and time to freshen up. Begin the return trip to Marrakech with scenic stops through pre-desert landscapes and the Draa Valley, crossing the Anti-Atlas before reaching Ouarzazate for lunch. In the afternoon, drive back through the High Atlas Mountains and arrive in Marrakech around 18:00.
